Week of deadlines

Well, this month has been oodles of indoor activity. Esteban came back from Europe and now he’s off to New York. I wouldn’t mind going along on that one, but too much vacation time has been taken by myself recently. Plus, I’m in a weird position because I actually enjoy my job, or at least I don’t mind being at work.

One of my customers is sending me some golf tees. Wheee! I’m totally excited about the golfing season coming up. My clubs are in the garage, ready to go. Every time I drive in, I see them there, all cute and purple and sassy. This year, I will buy more golf accessories, including but not limited to golf shoes and a golf towel. I would also like one of those ball retriever things. However, my ball-loss rate has diminished greatly recently. Plus, when I’m about to hit over water, I switch to a cheap ball, so I don’t mind as much if I lose them.

Been working on copywriting a lot this month. I finished the first of many weekly columns for Pappano’s Fantasy Football website, although that won’t really gear up until July. I’m currently also working on an article for Grogan’s Sports Analyst on Women in Fantasy Football. Should get that finished this week and off to Dan Grogan. How exciting. Who knew that I’d be using that degree of mine to write SPORTS JOURNALISM!?!?!?!

I have a new desk fish, since fish #1 didn’t make it past the first week. I wasn’t going to get another fish, because it was so traumatic disposing of the body the first time. Someone at work bought me a new fish and I accepted it as long as someone else will remove the corpse, as I can’t go through that again. The new fish is really weird. He likes to play dead. He’s playing with my mind. He sticks his little head way down in the marbles and does the dead fish float. He’s trying to psyche me out, I think. Or he’s a lazy fish.

This week is the week of deadlines. Many bills to be paid, taxes to be filed, articles due, special project at work due. Hate that and alternately love that.

I worked a lot on the GB East High School Class of 1989 website this weekend. Completely revamped it and changed servers. I’m not pleased so far with the results, but it is such an improvement over the infospace.com site that I can hardly complain. Hopefully, this will be a work in progress which will improve with time.

All in all, not much going on!
