Today is a half day for me, so I don’t have the time to write a big entry between doing legitimate work.
Esteban is completely stressed out. Every fall, I get the urge to go somewhere on a mini-vacation but Esteban drags his heels and we don’t. Well, last night he said ‘Find a place for us to go on a weekend.’
I’m floored. And giddy with possibilities.
He has only one requirement: he doesn’t want to drive very far. Door County is looking likely at this point, since it’s only forty miles away. I’d like to rent a cabin on Lake Michigan but I’m having a problem finding one I like on the internet. I may resort to an actual hotel, which are spiffier but not as neato mosquito as a cozy little cabin.
I am so fortunate that my big problem right now is that I’m being picky about where to spend a lovely weekend with my husband. I am truly blessed.

Today is Jonathon’s birthday! Tomorrow is our Laser Tag and Feed the Hungry Spectacular’ . Aunt Brunhilda has not pulled her children thus far. I’m waiting, though, with anticipation for her to come up with some excuse at the last minute. Maybe I don’t give her enough credit.
