My Diaryland Trading Card

I wrote a big whiny lame entry last night about how stressed I was. I didn’t like it. I didn’t want to post it, but I was in love with a stigmata joke that I made, so I posted it. But honestly, the stigmata joke wasn’t enough to carry the entry. So I killed it this morning. Words are funny things. Jake read me this incredible quote from Jenny and the Jaws of Life by Jinzey Willet. I don’t have it right now, but I rushed out at lunch on Tuesday to purchase the book and now I’m looking forward to reading it like the glee one normally reserves for Christmas morning and showers of wrapping paper destined to decorate landfills for years to come. Sorry, sometimes my inner hippy child sneaks out. But what I’m saying is that I love words. Words turn me on, probably more than anything else in the world. John Irving is one of the sexiest men in the world, not because of his smoldering eyes or his awning-like eyebrows… no, it’s the words. The way they touch you. Words caress your cheek and blow in your ear. Words tickle your secret tickle place.

Words rock.
