For Scott

No entry today.

Too sad.

Actually, I’ll leave it to Chrome, who wrote this when my friend Tom died a few months ago. “Weet…first off let me say I’m sorry for the loss of your friend. You have my deepest condolences. Second…by what you say you are putting to much weight upon your own back. You are not Atlas and asking Tom if he didn’t mind if you begged out on that dance is not your Earth on your shoulders. If Tom is the man you say he is then he fully understood why you asked if you could just sit down. I don’t think for one second he felt rejected by you. Flashing memories of cruel little girls with no care for his big, loving heart. I think he knew very well that you cared deeply for him and that you where just in pain after a long and very emotionaly draining day. In hindsight we always see how we should have done it. The why’s of the world are the road blocks of our future. We can not get past what we have previously experiencied if we can’t face the fact we did and there is no changing it. I know that sounds pretentious and I hope it doesn’t make it sound like I don’t sympathize with your pain. I’m just saying the only person who has ever had a problem with that moment in your life is you…I’m quite sure Tom never thought your worst fears.”

I miss him already.
