Mattel introduces Slutty ‘Ho Barbie!

My sister and I went shopping for shoes. She found a pair of leopard print mule sandals for $5. Size 8 ‘ wide.

‘Do you wear a wide shoe? Is that the right size?’ I asked.

‘No,’ she says, ‘I wear a size 8 ‘ regular’. But the wide fits better.’

Um, doesn’t that mean that your shoe size should be 8 ‘ WIDE then? Who are you fooling? I’m certain that the shoe cashier is really impressed with your regular foot width, sis, but is it worth having the virtual foot binding?

I wear a size 12 shoe. Yes. They make them that big. Real women have real shoe sizes.

An acquaintance of mine went to see a Poison concert this weekend. They’re playing in a big tent in the parking lot of the local Indian Res Casino. You know that video for ‘Every Rose Has It’s Thorn’? That was filmed at a concert here in Green Bay, at the second biggest venue in town (the biggest being Lambeau Field). Now they’re doing parking lot tents.

Apparently, they were selling autographs and pictures after the concert. $2 for a picture with a band member of your choice. $2 for an autograph. She got C.C. De Ville to autograph her hiney. Then she had the autograph tattooed so it’s PERMANENT.

Is that ‘hooker’ or what? I can not think of a single person’s autograph I’d want TATOOED on my body. Anywhere. Maybe William Shakespeare, but only if the bard himself did it. What is the purpose? I can only imagine that you’d be at a bar and be engaged in an argument ‘No, really, I MET C.C. De Ville! Look!’ and then you’d pull down your drawers.

No matter which way you look at it, it’s trash.

I’ve been reading Rubydragon’s diary, which is all about porn. Your daily dose of feminine sex, if you will. Don’t read it at work. It will be on your screen for 7 seconds until your boss walks by. Guaranteed.

It’s making me feel all ‘The Story of O’ or something. Wow. Like, I almost want to tell you all that I give the world’s best blow jobs.

And speaking of blow jobs, is there anything that makes you happier than looking at a picture of a young smiling Donnie & Marie Osmond? I have a picture of them on my desk, because they make me smile, looking at those clean-bred, corn-fed Mormon smiles. I used to have a Donnie & Marie doll. I think I made Donnie regularly have incestous relations with Marie. I’m certain that this is why she recently had a major breakdown. All that guilt.

Oooh. Doll porn. I think most little girls had their first sexual fantasies ‘fleshed’ out with a willing Barbie and Ken. I remember one time our babysitter caught me performing strange tantric Mattell orgy. Unbendable limbs were entwined and all were caught up in the heat of their intense rubber passion. My babysitter laughed at me, that I thought that the missionary position was so HOT and FORBIDDEN. I remember that she told me ‘You know, there are things that people do to each other that you WOULD NOT BELIEVE!’

For years, as I’d learn of new weird sexual oddities, I’d wonder ‘Was that it? Was that what I wouldn’t have been able to believe?’ I’m certain she probably meant something benign, like the fact that someone would put their mouth on something that pee came out of, but now I wonder just how wordly that 17-year-old babysitter was. Did she know about anal sex? Was she a practitioner of rimming? Or what about that shrimping thing that someone mentioned on my last trip to Key West? When I was 8 (or even 18), I’d hear of some new sexual oddity and then wonder “Was that it? Is that as unbelievable as it can get?” Now that I’ve heard about the people who get it on with stuffed animals, I’m starting to realize that I’ll never cease being amazed by sexual variety.

Oh man, I can only envision the weird Google searches that this entry is going to show up in.

The Renaissance dress is DONE!!!!

Woooohooo! I modeled it several times already at work. It’s really nice having an empty conference room with no windows nary twenty feet from my desk. “Modeling the latest in 17th century fashion, we have Weetabix, jauntily melding classic empire lines with slutty cleavage-baring exhibitionism. Watch out Anne Boleyn! This girl obviously has an eye for an impressive cod-piece.”

Good lord I’ve been so busy today that I didn’t get a chance to post this until realllllly late! Whooo. Must get back on schedule tomorrow.

More Fart humor at Casa Weetabix

Last night, Esteban and I had another of our famous fart discussions:

He called me a ‘Farty Poop’

I countered with a scathing ‘Little Farty Poo Poo’

A bit taken aback, Esteban hurled ‘Farty Boom Boom’

Non-daunted, I parried. ‘Fartadoplious Pooptopolous’

I then inundated him with a bunch of fart expressions. Until I cracked up at my own self. Sometimes I am just too much for even myself. Then Esteban thought I was crying and got very concerned, because I was laughing so hard I couldn’t breath and no sound was coming out. I just sat there, shaking with tears squirting out of my eyes. I can see how he got confused. Then I was able to gasp and tell him why I was laughing and he rolled his eyes and then utter ‘Fart head’. And it all started over again.

We are exactly four years old.

They say that there is a perfect person out there for everyone. And so it goes.

I told Esteban that I was going to write about the above convo in here. He of little ego then told me, ‘If it weren’t for me, you’d have nothing to write about in that thing.’

Not so. I spend an awful lot of time writing about my breasts.

Went and tried on the Renaissance dress last night. Man, I look so damned cute. It is way cool. Now I must find appropriate shoes. And jewelry and something for atop my head, to hide my decidedly non-Renaissance floppy ‘do. And it goes without saying that I’ll need a new bra. It’s that whole breast thing again.

Now Esteban is getting a little worried. ‘Am I going to look stupid walking next to you wearing jean shorts and a MegaTokyo t-shirt?’

That is not for me to decide, dear. That is for the world to decide.

Sometimes it is better for a relationship to keep your mouth closed.

We’re trying to figure out something ‘period’ for him to wear. He had talked about wearing a kilt originally, but even that would take too long to make, as we are going to the Ren Faire this weekend. I’m trying to convince him that my punk rock girl skirt looks just like a kilt.

He’s not buying it.

Mwah!

Poet-Collab: Tea Poem

I’ve joined the Poet-Collab ring here at Diaryland, after I was inspired by Eloi. Inspired in a good way. Not a ‘I can do this better’ way. Just so you know, Eloi.

Anywhoo, here’s my entry. This months subject is TEA. I don’t know if I had to explain that or not. I’m totally just winging this, y’all.

No Title Yet

We share a secret language, my sister and I,
spoken only at parties, holidays,
and in restaurants, surrounded
by people who are unaware
even a single word has passed between us.
A subtle series of flitting hand gestures
head turns and nods, a few
caught lip movements.
We use only important words,
lest they draw attention,
words like ‘She’s drunk’ and ‘Mom’
and ‘Again’ and ‘Christ’.
Mostly we rely on light signals
with lips pressed tightly together
like the hands of apostles in prayer
A fluttered nod with eyes held up says
‘I know’
A quick shake with palm facing out
and eyebrows drawn together means
‘don’t say it out loud’
A futile open hand with shoulders hunched means
‘well what can we do about it’
A sideways glance says
‘nothing’ nothing’
We have these discussions
with none around us the wiser
our eyes big like the saucers which
belong to tea cups
filled with brandy and
Constant Comment.

SUBLIMINAL {new} MESSAGES {bra} REVEALED {needed}!!!

I am so pissed.

Today, one of the underwires in one of my new bras gave up the fight. Yep. Around 3:15 pm at work, suddenly SPRIONG! in the armpit. And it was one of my favorites, too. A retro bra that made the girls do this little pointy thing, like I was a 1940’s girl painted on the side of a B-52 bomber, only cute and chubby.

How is it that they can put cheese in a spray can, make rain bead up on a car that has been left in the Mojave desert for 3 months, and make a gun that shoots nails and gives Bob Vilas a big hard-on, but they have been STUMPED by the whole concept of breast hoisting.

Ok, truthfully, I am demanding a lot from this little wire. That is a lot of Weetabix cargo to be hoisting there. But if they’re going to charge me $32 a bra, shouldn’t they make them out of space age material, not fucking craft wire!

And then there are those bras that advertise “No Poke” wire. Yeah. That’s about as trustworthy as “No, really, I’ll pull out.”

So I’m jaded. But I also have a pierced underarm, dammit. I’m allowed to be a little hostile.

Thus I spent the rest of the day with one shoulder higher than the other to avoid the carnage that was happening in my left armpit. Combining this with the pink eye, I think I looked a little bit like Renfield. I was thinking about maybe seeing if I could pull off a Pirate look, though. If I added a little black patch over my oozing eye, maybe I could get away with ending every sentence with “Arrrr”. I couldn’t do it over the phone, though, because the whole effect would be lost.

Immediately, Esteban would regret buying me a Pirate Play Set for Christmas. Of this I am certain.

Social psychologists have isolated hidden messages in the sound effects in the original series “Star Trek”.

The laser sound (when slowed down): a woman’s voice saying “Mountain Dew is all you need…. you don’t need a girlfriend.”

The phaser sound (when run backwards and filtered): A stern voice saying “There will never be a better home for you than in your parent’s basement.”

The “beaming” sound (when sped up and digitized): a voice saying “Nurse Chappell is hot. She wants you. She wants it baaaaad, big boy. She’s trying to convince Lt. Uhura into a threesome with you.”

I never understood why the original “Star Trek” series gives me a headache and I now understand.

Remarkably, they’ve also found subliminal messages in “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”. They are as follows:

“You are remarkably cool and have a tremendous propensity to verbal wit.”

“You can kick someone’s ass without any phsyical training or preparation. You’re tough and yet stylish.”

“You are attracted to big quiet guys with huge foreheads.”

“You desire Leather Pants of Ass-Kicking. And you’d look HOT (and then there’s the sound of someone saying “ssssssss” as they touch a finger to their butt in demonstration)

“You want to do Eliza Dushku, even if you’re pretty sure you’re not a lesbian. We think there’s nothing wrong with that. It’s ok. We’re trying to talk her into a threesome with you and your significant other.”

“Did we mention that you are one hot chick?”

“You look like one sexy Pirate girl.”

This all explains so much.

My mood right now according to my Mood Nail Polish: “Chipping Fish Scales”.

Monkey Bars 1, Small Child 0, Weetabix -342

Guess who’s the single worst Aunt in all of Auntiedom?

That would be me.

Yesterday, my sister picked me up as we were going to take Abby, who graces yon banner ad below, to the park. I grabbed my camera and off we went. We were in the park nary five minutes before Abby decides to scurry up this weird corkscrew thing. The Corkscrew of Death, we would later learn.

As she climbed up, she bumped her forehead. She was undaunted but Amy was concerned. What does Big Caring Auntie Weetabix say? Does she say ‘Pull that child off those Bars of Injury before she decapitates herself?’. Does she remind Amy of the Monkey Bar Slaughter of 1978? She does not.

She instead measures the look of concern on Amy’s face and says ‘Kids are going to get hurt sometimes, Amy. Relax.’ And then goads the two-year-old on.

I truly had the best of intentions here. I was thinking with my Gender Role mind. I was thinking, ‘hmmm, if Abby had been a boy, then Amy wouldn’t have reacted the same way. She would have been less afraid to see a boy get hurt. These moments are the things that build low self-esteem in girls. She should learn that she shouldn’t be afraid of a little failure.’

Anyway, the clinical psychologist side of me had very good intentions.

And then she bumped her mouth. And her mouth started bleeding. And we discovered that she chipped a front tooth.

Now, she’s going to be looking like some little trailer-trash wanker child with a mouth full of broken Chiclets. She might as well have a Kool-Aid mustache permanently affixed to her face.

Guess who’s never getting to babysit ever?

That would be me.

I thought I had gotten Pink Eye from the guestbook but now I believe I have found the culprit. I believe that my contagion has been identified. It is Pamie over at Squishy, who’s been using the same mascara since 1992. Thanks. Don’t you realize that when you use old makeup, you’re using the makeup of everyone who’s borrowed that makeup, and everyone who’s borrowed THEIR makeup before that? When in doubt, throw it out.

Practice safe glamour, people. It’s for the best, really.

Don’t call Chez Weetabix before 10 AM on the weekend, ‘k?

I will never again sleep past 8:00 A.M. in the morning.

It’s been determined by someone. I don’t know who. I suspect the kitchen sink may be behind it.

This morning, 8:00 A.M. The phone. Again. Don’t know who it was, didn’t answer it.

Then Clunk KerCHUNK Clunk KerCHUNK! from outside. Our newly-divorced neighbor apparently likes to chop wood. By hand. He does not have a fireplace. Nor a woodburning stove. I think he’s storing up to burn an effigy of his ex-wife. Or maybe his ex-wife herself, don’t know.

Esteban and I both cracked an eye open and looked at each other at this sound.

“I think he’s chopping wood” I say.

“Yes. He finds it relaxing.” Esteban says and then proceeds to fall back asleep.

Esteban can sleep through anything. It’s incredible. The man hears nothing when he’s asleep. Which is probably good, because apparently I snore like a congested water buffalo.

So I laid there and tried to fall back asleep. I had this weird dream about lumberjacks and Sean from “Real World Boston” all releasing their sexual tension by chopping wood. And then they started singing the Monty Pyton song “I’m a Lumberjack and I’m OK”. And then the cross-dressing started. And then I got up because it’s just not restful sleep when you’re dreaming about burly men wearing garter belts and listening to your divorced neighbor “relax” with a fucking axe in his hand six feet away from your head. It’s just not.

Scott sent Esteban an email this morning, accusing him of self-mutilation to get out of housework. Geez, Scott, you freak, would you lay off the guy? Just ’cause I let you look at my breasts doesn’t mean that you can have open-season on Esteban, ‘k? Watch it, or I’ll get Mafia Grandma on your skinny white ass.

I watched “You’ve Got Mail” last night for the 33rd time. That movie leaves me all conflicted. I bawl like a televangelist when she’s closing her store for the last time and she takes that little bell off the door. Then she turns around and sees her mother and her as a little girl, doing the twirling thing. Then she closes the door and you see the sign which says “We have loved being a part of your lives”.

BWAH!

But it bothers me the way the script needed to validate and tie up all the loose ends. To make the audience realize that, well, it was all for the best, really. The little happy feminine store being bowled over by the big corporate masculine store. Would it have been the same movie if Meg Ryan had been Fox Books and Tom Hanks had been the Shop Around The Corner? No, because then Meg Ryan would have had to pursue Tom Hanks and they would have cast a more aggressive woman, such as Sharon “Hootchie Bootchie” Stone. And then they would have had to show her snatch at one point. Perhaps during the coffee shop scene when Tom Hanks would look into the mirror. I don’t know. But I doubt it would have been as good.

It bothers me that I like that movie so much. It’s kind of a dumb movie. But I love Jean Stapleton, especially because she bought Intel at 6. And I also love the wrinkly look that Meg Ryan has when she realizes that it was Tom Hanks all along.

Yes, I’m a big hypocrite and I just don’t care.

(sticks tongue out)

But don’t assume that I don’t care about my car’s tires! And pass the kleenex, damn it!

Currently my right eye is oozing. It’s very gross. I think I might have Pink Eye. And I think I caught it from the guestbook. Unclebob was complaining of pink eye two weeks ago AND he signed it. So if you venture into the guestbook (which, by the way, you definately should. It makes me very happy when someone signs it! Very happy indeed. I do a little dance. Just ask Esteban.) make sure to wash your hands afterwards. I’m just saying. I’m concerned for your welfare.

Esteban’s parents received a very nice peppermill and peppercorns from The Spice House by accident. They called to tell the Penzeys (the owners) this and were told to keep it. They don’t eat pepper, so they gave it to us. We eat pepper. A LOT. Freshly ground pepper… mmmmmm. And I’m sort of thinking it’s all karma because I posted a link to them on Unclebob’s message board, because he said he liked spices a lot. Or it’s a kickback of some sort.

So anyway, I’m posting it here, because, hey, who knows. Maybe they’ll “accidentally” send me some of their excellent extracts. I have the double vanilla one already, but I would love the orange or the almond. Or maybe some of their butcher’s rubs. But check it out, anyway. Because once you try their spices, you’ll throw out any that you have from the grocery store. It’s that much of a difference. I highly recommend their Chicago Steak Seasoning, saffron and Cassia Cinnamon. Yum.

Someone accessed this diary last night by searching for the phrase “Boy Scout Underpants” on Google.

The internet is both a wonderful and terrifying place.

If thy hand ails thee, slice it off

Overheard:

“If you had a penis on your chest, I’d bet it would make belly-flops in the pool a reallll bitch.”

Today began as a hellish “Clean the House” day and got so much worse.

First off, I was awoken by the sound of the phone ringing at 8:00 a.m. this morning. On a Saturday. Which sucks. I didn’t answer it, but I was awake so I got up and did my diary entry this morning. Then, the phone rang again at 8:45 A.M. I answer it.

“Uh, is Esteban around?”

“Yes, but he’s sleeping right now.” Because it’s fucking early on a weekend morning, asshole, so it better be life and death. And I also know that you’re the asshole who woke me up, too.

It turns out that the life or death issue was video cards. The guy had some questions about video cards. For computers, by the way, not for life support systems or Def-Con 4 equipment. Just a computer. Because he wanted ‘Tribes’ to run better.

That’s how the day began. Esteban did rise eventually and we began our day of work in the most uneventful way. I started to pre-spray the various chemicals in the bathroom and Esteban began to do his dishes. Esteban suggests that I burn a CD for us to listen to, so I let the bathroom marinate in its various Comety wonder and commence to create the End All Be All data cd of mp3 files.

Suddenly, from the kitchen I hear Esteban mutter, “Oy Vey”.

Now, Esteban, as far as I know, has not one ounce of Jewish in him. In fact, I’m fairly certain that this is the first time I’ve ever heard him utter this phrase and I’m not entirely certain where exactly he picked it up. Perhaps overheard while surfing past a Woody Allen movie? So I should have immediately known that something was up but I was zoning.

Then, “Weetabix, come here a minute.”

Now, please do not judge me for the fact that I did not immediately jump up and scurry over to my husband like a good little wife. You should realize that Esteban regularly calls me from wherever in the house, with urgency in his voice, for the most mundane of tasks. He’s called me up from the basement where I was doing the laundry so that I could get a new roll of toilet paper for him. Which was four feet away from him. And that may seem like an alarming distance but you should also realize that Esteban is a very tall man with tremendously long arms. I doubt that his ass would have even had to have risen much more than 6 inches off the seat to reach the ass wipe.

But I digress.

Instead of immediately jumping to his side, I reply, “What?”

Esteban repeated himself, this time with an edge of panic, “Weetabix, would you please come in here right away?”

This time I jump up and run to the kitchen to find him standing above the sink with a hand full of blood. He had been washing a glass and it broke with his hand inside of it. I try to staunch the bleeding with a towel (I’ve always wanted to use the word ‘staunch’ and now may die happily!), but Esteban won’t allow me to use our tea towels for his blood soakage. Why he suddenly cares about this I have no idea, since I do all of the laundry, but whatever.

“No, go get some paper towels!” he says as blood drips into the rinse water.

I rush to the cabinet to find some, but we’re out. “We’re out!” “There’s a roll in the office” I run back to the computer room and grab the towels and bring them back to him. Then I had him sit down while I got several Band-aids from the bathroom. He had an inch gash in the area between his thumb and forefinger. A curvy smile-like gash. It was horrible. However, Esteban refused medical attention, instead relying on the strength of our 3m Anti-Bacterial band-aids to solve his issues.

“Damn,” he said. “Now we’re screwed.”

Yes. We were screwed. There was no way that he could get his hands wet, so there was pretty much nothing he could do all day. So he left to go solve the “video card caller”s problem.

Great. Just great. I continue to work on the bathroom and laundry for a few hours until he returns. At this point, I’ve worked myself into a tizzy. I’m ticked because I hate our messy house. And I’m ticked because it’s mostly going to have to stay that way. I just don’t have the will power nor the determination to do the complete overhaul all by myself. So, I decide, I’ll do what I can today and then live with the rest, working on it during the week.

Esteban comes back and proceeds to then play on the computer. He says his hand is fine, just can’t get it in water. Well, then you can pick up the trash around the house, right? He grudgingly got up from his rousing death game and began to pick up the trash.

He was doing a great job, too, until he came to some old cut flowers. He had decided that they were vegetation so could go down the garbage disposal.

Yes. I realize that as you are reading this you are thinking “But Weetabix, you must never put fiberous materials down a garbage disposal or dire consequences may ensue!”.

And ensue they did. The sink became clogged. Esteban did not actually alert me of this. He grabbed the plunger and tried to unplug the sink. This involves plunging with one hand in one sink and placing the other hand firmly over the drain of the other sink so that a vacuum forms. Then he got his cut wet. Then it began to bleed. Then he called Esteban Sr. who came over to look at it. Then he called Roto-Rooter, who will charge us $75 to root it out or whatever they do.

I think we should call a priest instead. It’s fairly obvious that our sink is possessed. First the blood-letting, then the plague of rotting vegetation. That’s in the Bible, I think. Somewhere. Maybe in Leviticus.

I however, did make our bathroom sparkle. And now a word from our sponsor, Scrub Devil, by the makers of Dirt Devil. Folks, do you ever find yourself scrubbing your shower for hours to no avail? Do you gentlemen sprinkle strange urine fungus on the wall or floor? Well, let me tell you, Scrub Devil is your friend. It spins, it twirls, it delights your senses as it scrub scrub scrubs away your worries. And it’s cordless! So if you’ve ever bemoaned the lack of powertools in the home cleaning arena, get a Scrub Devil 2000. Available at participating retailers.

Actually, I don’t think they make it anymore, but it’s just a cheap imitation of the Scumbuster, which I’m sure is just as good.

Thus, after a much maligned afternoon, I made a pizza (from scratch! oooh!) and then we went to Baskin Robbins for a snack. You know, they don’t call it 33 Flavors anymore. When we were there, they were down to 12 flavors, and one I’m quite certain was that frost stuff from the inside of a freezer.

Mmmmm. Nothing like freezer-burn goodness to bring a pleasant end to a perfect day!

Would someone please explain to me why Drew Barrymore’s character constantly wears the fugly black/silver necklace thing throughout the entire movie “The Wedding Singer”? It’s never explained. Is it a collar given to her by her fiance? It’s pissing me off.

Is ‘giving good diary’ like ‘giving good head’?

Last night, Esteban and I went to a supper club type place with Joel and Cheri and ate much underdone steak. Afterwards, we were standing around in the parking lot, silent, listening to the gastric acids in our stomachs break down the protein-heavy meal into various enzymes and apparently this made those folks with Y-chromosomes ansty. (If all that science talk made those English majors amongst you nervous and sort of space out, here’s a translation “We were full and quiet and this made the boys nervous”… better?).

The menfolk began then to talk about my car as if it were not my car. “Well, them tires are about $150 a piece, Esteban!” “Don’t I know it! Those are 15cc (or some other tire measurement, I’ve since repressed the specifics) tires!”

I’m certain that primitive man could have easily joined this conversation without a problem.

“Ur, Me hate gathering. Me hunt. Hunt is good.”

That’s how it’s evolved. Testosterone talk used to be about hunting (and still is, for some men), but now it’s about having a car with such balls it requires big fat tires. I’ve witnessed this conversation before. Guys love to talk about the Monte. It’s got a big fat engine and it drives guys wild. However, they then try to act as though it is Esteban’s car. It is not. It is my car. The little woman’s car. And the car is a SHE. Her name is Ms. Monte. And I think that upsets the guys. When I purchased the car, the salesguy kept talking to Esteban and ignoring me, even when Esteban told him repeatedly “I’m not buying the car, she is!”. And she’s allllllll estrogen, baby.

And women have their girly talk, too, not to feel left out. Lots of times, Estrogen talk is about children, having babies, and possibly clipping coupons. I don’t know. I shy away from estrogen talk, generally, because I don’t have children, have never been pregnant, and let the grocery store rip me off as much as they possibly can. But I generally feel left out, so I cling to whatever female-ness I possibly can. It bugs me though, that guys assume that *I* have no interest in the state of my tires. They’re right of course, I don’t have any interest. I figure that when my tires need to be changed, I’ll suck it up and buy new tires. There’s nothing I can do about how much they cost, so why get all worked up about it months ahead of time? But don’t assume that I don’t care, ‘k?

Cheri and I, of course, were feeling a tad left out. I turned to her and said “So, my vagina is good today! How’s your vagina?”

I purchased some “mood nailpolish”. Actually, it was a substitute for the Rouge Pulp lipstick that I had wanted to buy. Instead, I opted for the $1.99 investment, rather than the $8.99 investment, in trash beauty.

Apparently, my mood right now is “rotting corpse”. Sometimes it’s “drowning victim”.

I haven’t played The Sims since I purchased House Party because the expansion pack corrupted the game and all three disks have to be reinstalled. And it’s just too much effort for me to try to find all three disk cases for the serial numbers.

Last night, I had a dream. I dreamt my Sims were all running amuck, fornicating in their red vibrating beds, saying “Yes” when the phone rings and asks if they want a child. Their fish were dead and they all lost their jobs. They were all going to go on Sim Jerry Springer and talk about how I ruined their life. The person from the Sim show was calling me up to see if I would come on the show. Of course, they were talking in that crazy Sim language, but I understood the jist of it.

I don’t know how Uncle Bob writes his entries so early in the morning. I just got up and I get the feeling that I didn’t “give good diary” today. (That, by the way, was a quote from Blue Armadillo who said I “gave good diary” which is I think a compliment or a vague sexual euphamism. Either way, I’m blushing. Thanks Blue Armadillo!)

Wow. I just had a really weird deja’vu when I reread this entry. If this entry is a duplicate of a different entry… let me know. Or maybe I wrote it last night in a dream. Maybe while I was waiting in the green room of the Sim Jerry Springer show.

Weird.

Hi, Bug Toe here, nice to meet ya!

Last night, whilst I was traipsing around in my pajamas which look like actual clothing, I ventured outside and promptly stepped on a bug with my bare feet. At first I did not know what I had stepped on, just that there was this suspicious firm pebble-sized object now affixed to my right big toe, so I continued to try to convince myself that it was NOT a bug that I had just squashed and it was not bug juice which caused the bug-sized object to permanently adhere itself to my toe. It was rather a piece of leftover road salt with special alien glue properties’ or something. Then after several excruciating seconds, I peeked and found that indeed there was now an ex-bug stuck to my lovely big toe.

And that’s when the shrieking started.

Esteban demonstrated his perfect husband skills, however. You must give props to Esteban. I scrapped the bug off my big toe and then proceeded to envelop myself in the Mother Of All Pissy Moods. Esteban chose that moment to talk with me.

‘What’s wrong?’ He asked, very concerned as always for my welfare.

‘I just stepped on a bug’ I snapped. I was starting to freak out a bit because now my toe was starting to feel itchy and it was possibly that somehow little baby bugs were going to hatch out of my toe and I would then gain the nickname ‘Bug Toe’ for the rest of my natural life.

‘And this is my fault somehow, right?’ He said, without even a hint of sarcasm.

‘Yes. Yes it is.’

‘And if I bring you ice cream, this will make it better?’

‘Yes. Yes it will.’

Thus, Esteban went to the ice cream place and bought ice cream and I went to boil my leg.

The true test of a relationship is not how well you get along, it is rather how willing you are to apologize for something that is not your fault.

I regularly apologize to Esteban for the President. Also for the stupid plots on ‘Friends’.

In the middle of the night last night, Esteban wakes me up and says ‘What kind of bug?’

‘What?’

‘What kind of bug did you step on?’

‘Um, a pill bug I think’ I don’t know really.’

‘Oh.’

‘Why did you want to know?’

‘I just thought it might have been a different kind of bug.’

Because he and I share a great hatred of June bugs. I couldn’t eat kidney beans until I was 19 years old because they reminded me of June bugs.

If it had been a June bug, I would be in the hospital. And I would have gone poo in my cute pajamas. Right there and then.

But it wasn’t a June bug so all may sleep soundly tonight.

The good, the bad, and the Hollandaise

Have you tried McDonald’s new bagel breakfast sandwiches? Do they all have hollandaise sauce on them? Because I’m pretty sure that I’ve had several of these with no hollandaise sauce on them and then this morning, I unsuspectingly ordered a sausage/egg/cheese bagel sandwich and took a bite and almost projectile vomited into oncoming traffic.

God, can you imagine the accident report on that? “What were you doing at the time of the accident?” “Hurling my guts out, officer. You see, there was this hollandaise sauce….” and that’s when the officer would affect a strange New York/Irish accent and say “You kin tell yer stahry to the judge, missy!” and arrest me.

I called McDonald’s and complained and they acted as though they’ve always been putting the sauce on it. Actually, she had to tell me what it was. I thought that they had accidentally put mayonaise on it or some foul white gel. So, I didn’t get a free bagel sandwich, because her argument is that they’ve always been that way and I’m too stupid to know the difference.

I secretly suspect that someone snuck semen onto my tasty breakfast and they are all in hysterics as we speak.

Well, maybe they’ve gotten over it by now… I mean, it is 11 hours later.

Esteban has declared that we will be cleaning the house on Saturday.

Oh. Boy.

I should be happy about this, but I am not. I’d rather be golfing. Or having my eyes picked out by vultures.

But at the same time, I know that I’ll be happier when the house is clean. I’m just not in the “Cleaning Nazi” mood right now. I’m in the “peace, love and happiness, man!” mood right now. I just want to wear my hippy sandals and walk around in my cute pajamas, pretending that they are actually clothes.

I have to tell you, though, I have the best fucking pajamas. I got them at the Avenue and I highly recommend them. First of all, the whole pajama system that they’ve got going on there right now is just fabulous. Everything is matching, but you can pick tops and bottoms. It’s like a big Garanimals for plus size women. They have short sleeve t-shirt tops, longer tops, longer bottoms, and short bottoms. I myself opted for pink flowered print boxer shorts and pink camisole top with a built-in shelf bra. Truthfully, my “rack” needs more than a shelf. I think the girls need their own bookcase. But it’s just enough support to make me feel like I’m not all pointing, er, south. And the top gives excellent cleavage. Esteban walks around very happy when I wear these jammies. Plus, I always have to suppress this urge to shake my bootay. Well, let’s just say sometimes I don’t actually suppress that urge.

Urges are good.

I suppressed a different kind of urge today.

I went to the drug store over lunch and physically had to tear myself away from the Rouge Pulp display. They’ve got a rocking red lipsticky kind of thing. I really want to buy it, but my face just isn’t used to that kind of red. It’s Estee Lauder’s “Pure Plum”… anything else and my face objects. It says “Listen, tramp, you might want to dress yourself up like a $4 whore, but I’m the one that has to be seen in this shyte, so you’ll just wear a respectible snobby lady’s lipstick and you’ll LIKE it? Understand?” My face often channels Sister Mary Gregory from Our Lady of Perpetual Polyps. It has been known to speak in tongues and hold Bingo sessions on Wednesday nights.

So I did not purchase the Rouge Pulp lipstick. I’m not sure when I’d actually wear that stuff anyway. I can’t go to work looking like Alan Cumming in “Cabaret”, now can I? Plus, would I pick up glare up from my monitor on my lips? Would I see their reflection in my monitor at work? Would I have the urge to start tonguing my phone headset at work? These are not questions I necessarily want answered.

Also, I’m worried that the Rouge Pulp lipstick would somehow accent my rosacea. Thanks to the gel which smells like ass, I’ve got a handle on it and no longer have Ragedy-Ann dots on my cheeks. And do I want to trade “fucking red face disease” to be the chick with the “red fucking lips”?? Hmmmm. Think not.

I think everyone is torn between two psyches. One of my psyches purchased my sports car and the other one shops for quilting patterns and fabric. Part of me wants to buy a black leather bustier and thigh-high boots and is all “Get your motor running… head out on the highway!”. The other part is wearing cardigans and sensible shoes and dreams of owning a sheep farm where I can weave my own expensive wool creations while listening to Enya.

Or maybe it’s just us Geminis.

It is so WRONG that McDonald’s is serving things with hollandaise sauce!!! It’s McDonald’s, not JeanPaul’s Bistro, for christ sake!
